Dear All,

It is time (or maybe a little past time) to get things kicked off. I would like to invite everyone to come to St. Mark's in Bay City on Oct. 25th, from 12 (noon) to 2:30 for a meeting to discuss the 2009 Honduras Mission Trip to Corinto. We have several topics of discussion to cover concerning all future trips.

Due to some past circumstances and events that have happened, we and all mission trips, throughout the diocese will be required to fulfill certain obligations prior to participation. We need to provide open communication and answer any questions to assure proper progress for a successful 2009 trip. Please try to attend if possible. We will also be able to join in on a celebration for Sam Maglitto's 80th birthday at 3pm. Lunch will be provided please RSVP if possible so we have a rough estimate of people. The key word is rough estimate...don't let not RSVPing keep you from coming.

Chris Turner will be sending out information associated with open board positions that need to be filled. Please seriously consider volunteering for a position. All board members will be asked to lead and organize a certain aspect of the trip. As we all know, we cover a wide range of needs in Corinto and it takes time and planning to pull it all off successfully. Traveling on the 2009 trip is not a requirement of partaking on the board, having experienced the trip is though. We have 3 or 4 positions to fill this year. So please give it some serious thought. We need your help if we want to continue providing care to our friends in Corinto. If you have any questions please drop me a note.
